Felix Elwert Elwert, Felix Associate Professor, Department of Sociology & Associate Professor (Affiliate), Department of Population Health Sciences 4325 Social Science 262-9510

elwert [at] wisc.edu

Research that advances the understanding of two interlocking areas of social inequality: First, investigating the contextual drivers of inequality, including neighborhood, network, and family effects. Second, analyzing the demography of inequality. All works pursue a theory-driven approach to causal inference. Focus especially on problems of dynamic selection to understand how contexts and demography shape individual life chances, their distributions, and their transmission within and across generations.
